In recent times, environmental awareness has increased in the business world, thanks to movies such as Al Gore's "An inconvenient truth" and media attention on the probable causes and effects of global warming.

This increased awareness has in turn created more job openings in environment-friendly areas such as clean energy, carbon sequestering, pollution control and conservation where people are actively seeking eco-friendly alternatives to industrial-age technology.
